Catching my breath

Well, this is most embarrassing but I had forgotten I'd even started a blog. I can't believe where the time has gone! How could it already be April??? Seems like we've been on this sprint for as long as I remember. We're coming up on the first anniversary of Parker and Chelsey, Jas and Ashlee are rounding the corner to TWO YEARS married, crazy, crazy!

The year 2010 had so many memories---some hard and some we had so looked forward to. Losing Dad last April was such an emotional roller coaster and helping Mom transition kept me awake at night, hoping she would be OK. She's doing well in Texas with the Herzog gang and I'm grateful that she has found a place to maybe call home for a bit.
It was good to see her last month even for just a few days.

My life recently has been so busy with work and Church callings. The good news is that we will get to sneak off to the Caribbean in just a few days and enjoy some time away with Haley, David and neighborhood friends. The water in Grand Cayman in one of my favorite places to relax.

On the heels of our cruise will be a few days out to Provo for Chelsey's graduation. How did those four years (3.5 really) slip by? We just had her home for a visit last week and it was so nice to spend some unscheduled time with her. It always seems we're on the clock when we get to see her, so nice for a change!

Haley is driving now and finally has her own car, again (long story...). She's had a quieter spring without soccer and track but still doesn't seem like we get to see her much. She disappears to the bonus room upstairs with her homework (and cell phone) and then suddenly it's bedtime. I'm so hoping we get to enjoy her this last year before she leaves for college. Then it will be the "empty nest" and I'm not sure we're really ready for that after years of kids here. Probably will be hardest on David, he lives for the interaction with all of the kids friends.

Well, I've rambled on long enough and will hopefully post before 6 months again!
Until then....
